  1. How far west does membership of the south east poolies go? I was born in Camerons hopital in West Hartlepool (yes, I am really old!) and was brought up in Wingate and Peterlee. I have lived all over the place during a 23 year RAF career and since leaving the forces, but have now settled in Southampton - can I join and be a FULL member or am I too far west?

I go to watch the lads whenever I can and enjoyed the Charlton match, despite it being a 0-0 draw - the atmosphere created by the Hartlepool fans was fantastic. My daughter, who lives in London, and myself had a pint in that pub near Charlton railway station that was full of poolies, before heading off to the match.

    A good day out.

  2. I thought the media were rather negative about the match on Saturday at Charlton. The Hartlepool Mail in particular seemed to have a gripe 'towards the end the game just petered out'. I thought the match was pretty entertaining overall. Yes, we were lucky overall to get the draw but we were getting stronger as the game went on and had a few chances to nick it in the last minutes. The game was well fought by both teams going for a winner.

The atmosphere at the Pools end was very cheerful and the Oompa Loompas in particular were very impressive. All in all a good afternoon!

On a separate note, the new season ticket offer looks really good. Unfortunately, it's not worthwhile for me but if it gets 4,000 plus attendances at the Vic, that'll be great.

Regards to all SEP and here's hoping for next season.

PS. Do I need a password to get on to any of the website because I don't think I have one?
