RAFFLE AT BRENTFORD

A big well done to Hartlepool United fan Mr Spink who won the raffle at Brentford after the SEP Meeting. He won a shirt signed by former Pools player, Paul Stephenson. He is a non-member and his pound proved to be good enough to win the prize and he went home happy, with an unexpected Xmas Present. A big thank you to all who bought tickets, personalities included a Copper, Landlord and the normal riff-raff that we meet up with. The raffle brought an excellent £65 into club funds.

HARTLEPOOL WEEKEND

A reminder that arrangements have been made for the Hartlepool weekend against Sheff Utd on March the 31st.
 
We will be catching the train on Friday and returning on the Sunday. The Friday train will be leaving late morning so that people don’t have to pay for a Peak-Time ticket into London and to take into account connections from other areas. The cost at present cannot be confirmed as both the train and hotel are yet to reveal their final price, but will certainly come in at under £100 (as little as £80). Because of this we have set the price at £100 for the weekend and will make refunds as necessary. Costs will be broken down into detail at the forthcoming meeting.
 
Payment details are as follows;
December 31st- £40 non-refundable deposit
January 31st- £30
February 29th- £30
Those that wish to are able to pay higher amounts than specified, including the full amount by the 1st date.
 
For those that would like to travel independently and just pay for the hotel please contact Stu on 07789 734790 to make arrangements and cost. Full details for the weekend will be on the site in next few days but please contact Stu to register your interest ASAP.

PLEASE NOTE- For those wanting to book travel and hotel through the SEP the payment dates are non-flexible due to money that has to be paid out on specific dates. Cheques are to be made payable to ‘South East Poolies’ and sent to 55 Roberts Road, Rainham, Kent, ME8 0AZ.

A big thank-you to Rob, who has volunteered to put a quiz together for the train journey to Hartlepool. I know Rob well enough to know that I am about to start swotting up as it will not be easy!

PLAYER OF THE YEAR TROPHY

This seasons Player of the Year Trophy has now been ordered and will feature a copy of the SEP Monkey. This has cost a bargain £10 and will be presented on the pitch prior to the game against Sheff Utd when 2 lucky members who have made the trip will do the honours. The 2 names will be drawn from a hat during the weekend.

GILLS QUIZ

The South East Poolies will be attending the Gillingham FC Independent Supporters Club quiz night on Monday 19th of December. Kick-off is at 8pm and all are welcome to join us. The quiz takes place at the Brasenose Club, located in Nelson Road, Gillingham. The club is a 5-10 minute walk from Gillingham Train Station.

POLO SHIRTS

In January we will be taking orders for a new batch of Polo Shirts and with the Hartlepool Weekend on the horizon can you afford to be without the latest fashion accessory? They will be available in maroon or navy blue, with prices hopefully once again around the £15 mark. Other items can also be produced on request including training tops and rain jackets.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be the game at Wycombe Wanderers on the 25th of February. The venue is not yet confirmed but we will be chatting to their Supporters Club about possibly using their facilities.
