Flash Gordon - South East Poolies

HARTLEPOOL UNITED F.C. SOUTH EAST POOLIES

FLASH GORDON FOR ROVERS!!!!

Pools fans can have the chance to give a huge hero's return to the goal-machine that was, Gordon 'Flash' Watson when he appears at a Sportsmans Evening at the West Hartlepool Rovers Amateur Quoit & Social Club in Grainger Street.

After signing for Pools in September 2001, 'Flash' scored 18 goals in 31 games to lift them off the bottom of the table and into the Play-Offs. The following season he continued in deadly fashion, scoring 5 goals in 8 games before being stretchered off the pitch during the magnificent 4-1 win at home to Darlow. He did not score agin for Pools after returning from injury. Although he later had trials for Sheff-Wed, it was clear his injury-plagued career was over and he officialy retired from the game.

The event will take place on the 9th of September from 1930hrs. The night will also see entertainment from Comic, Mike Farrell and will be compared by Hartlepools very own Paul 'Goffy' Gough.

Tickets cost £15 and include supper!!!
